PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION BERBASIS INQUIRY TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS SEJARAH SISWA KELAS XI IPS MAN 1 GRESIK

The problems that occur in history learning that are applied in schools have not been able to be carried outproperly. The learning carried out is deemed to have less positive influence on the ability of students, especially historywriting skills. This is because the teaching style applied is still conventional and the critical and creative thinking levelof students is still at a low level, so a treatment is needed to change the learning style that affects history writing skills byapplying the Inquiry-based Group Investigation learning model. The formulation of the problem in this study is whetherthere is an influence between Inquiry-based Group Investigation on historical writing skills and the aim is to find out theinfluence and how much contribution X variable (Inquiry-based Group Investigation) has on Y variable (historical writingskills) in class XI Social Studies in MAN 1 Gresik. The type of research is experimental quantitative research with thetype of One-Shot Calse Study Design, the sample calculation uses the Taro Yaname and Slovin formula with the numberof respondents being 51 students in class XI IPS at MAN 1 Gresik. The instruments used were student responsequestionnaires, observation of the implementation of learning and assessment sheets for students' history writingskills.The data analysis technique used OneSample T-test. The result of the research written as ℎ 5,174 > 2,00856 with a significance of 0,003 < 0,05. Learning Inquiry based Group Investigation model has a positive influencein writing skill of history of students in class XI IPS MAN 1 Gresik.Keywords: Inquiry-based group Investigation model, writing skill of history, learning of history
