Déshydratation thermique de l'oxyhydroxyde d'aluminium (boehmite) et transformation en alumine γ // Thermal dehydration of the aluminium oxide hydroxide (boehmite) and transformation into γ alumina

National audienceL'étude des évolutions structurales et pondérales de la boehmite avec la température et la pression de vapeur d'eau montre que cette phase admet une sous-stoechiométrie en eau. Elle se transforme en alumine y qui est une solution d'hydroxyle et d'alumine dont la teneur en ions OH- dépend également de la température et de la pression de vapeur d'eau. La transformation globale boehmite/alumine γ est donc la superposition de deux équilibres divariants entre la vapeur d'eau et chacune des deux phases et d'une transformation monovariante qui est un changement de structure sans variation de composition. On a déterminé les enthalpies de chacune de ces transformations ainsi que la variation d'entropie standard associée au changement de structure. // The mass and structure chanqes of boehmite with temperature and water pressure show that this phase is non stoechiometric with OH vacancies. By heating we obtain γ alumina which appears as a solid solution of OH in alumina, the amount of OH is depending m water pressure and temperature. The transformation of boehmite into γ alumina is finally the succession of three equilibria which are well defined by their enthalpy and entropy
