The sensitivity of contact variables of the tibial plateau to the transverse depth, transverse width, cross-sectional height and cross-sectional width of both menisci was investigated. Overall differences with either an increase in the transverse depth or an increase in the height of the medial menisci was observed. It was found that contact pressure distribution of the joint as a whole and the medial tibial plateau was dependent on all the parameters studied
