The Burnout syndrome (BS) is a pathological entity that was defined almost five decades ago, the initial approach determined that had a work nature, the subsequent analysis showed that it was occupational indeed, there are multiple populations of interest such as university students, particularly the Human Medicine students. The BS has three dimensions: emotional exhaustion (EE), depersonalization (DP) and self realization (SR). These dimensions are studied with the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Student Survey (MBI-SS) tool, which is currently the most widely used for application in university students.
