Level of anxiety of patients undergoing computed tomography scan in De La Salle University Medical Center, Dasmariñas, City

The study used the descriptive method employing the survey technique. Quota sampling was employed to select 251 respondents. Data was collected using a self-made questionnaire and analyzed using mean, percentage, frequency, standard deviation, t-test and f-test. The study concluded that, 1) Most of the respondents were female, married, above 50 years old, attained college level and out-patient; 2) In general, patients had no anxiety before undergoing computed tomography scan examination. However, in-patients had more tendency to have greater risk of anxiety than out-patients; 3) There was no significant difference in the level of anxiety when the patients were grouped according to age, gender, civil status and educational attainment; 4) There was a significant difference in the level of anxiety when the patients were grouped according to type of patient
