This study used the phenomenological approach of qualitative research using purposive sampling technique. The researchers conducted several interviews with the informants using an audio tape with consent. Guided by Colaizzi’s method, the researchers transcribed and encoded the information, extracted the significant statements, formulated meanings and developed themes and subthemes. The study concluded that the participants expressed their significant experiences as hemodialysis patients, which included their different reactions, the physiologic changes, their coping mechanisms, their sources of strength and support, and the lingering thoughts in their minds.
