This research aimed to find out the significant effect and differences of Self-Talk Strategy on students’ speaking skill. This research was conducted at tenth graders of State Islamic Senior High School 1 Bungo. This research was used experimental design. This research was analyzed the data quantitatively. The data was obtained by pre-test and post-test. The population of this research is students’ at the tenth graders of State Islamic Senior High School 1 Bungo. Class X mia 1 as experimental class which are thought by using Self-Talk Strategy and class X mia 2 as control class without using Self-Talk Strategy.
