The planning and management of natural resources is essential for achieving sustainable development in the Amazon region, and is based on the characteristics of the landscape. Therefore, the objective of this work was to provide information about the hydrogeomorphometric characteristics of the landscape and the dynamics of land cover in the Prosperidade microbasin, Western Amazon, Brazil. The information was obtained with remote sensing techniques, using software (QGIS 2.10.1, Google Earth and TrackMaker Free) and satellite images (ALOS, Landsat 5 and Landsat 8), and equations.
