Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are a potential irradiation source for plant culture system due to ability to control the spectral composition in red (R), green (G) and blue (B) bands of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). To evaluate the energy efficiency of LEDs with different light quality in this study, we measured the growth and photomorfogenesis of root varieties of parsley (Petroselinum tuberosum). All plants were grown for 36 days at 50 mmol.m–2.s1 photosynthetic photon flux with 8 hour photoperiod.
