The dissertation examines the maneuvering characteristics of ships at low depth, taking into account the maritime safety requirements in ports. Over the last decade, the extent of maritime transport has increased dramatically, with step-up in size of ships under construction, and the technical requirements for ports being raised so that the existing port infrastructure, its channels and ships turning basins are designed and equipped to ensure the required safety of shipping at ports and port access. The object of the research in this dissertation is the ship and its maneuverability.
