The article analyses the issues: what personal qualities and professional skills of managers are the most relevant in today’s world; how to improve the development of personal qualities and professional skills of managers. Managers’ personal qualities and professional skills considered by employees in Lithuanian organizations as important for managers and for employees themselves in career building were discerned with the aid of empiric research.
