Introduction. Burns are underestimated, life-threatening injuries that are difficult to manage, because of systemic inflammatory response, fluid loss, large scale infections. An ideal burn wound dressing should have good antiseptic properties, reduce epithelization period, absorb exudate provide moisturization and pain relief.
