Uji Aktivitas Antihiperurisemia Ekstrak Etanol Rumput Kebar (Biophytum petersianum) Pada Mencit Jantan (Mus musculus)

Abstract:   Hyperuricemia is a condition where there is an increase in blood uric acid levels above the normal threshold. Kebar grass (Biophytum petersianum) contains flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, tannins and triterpenoids. The purpose of the study was to determine the potential for reducing uric acid levels from the administration of ethanol extract of kebar grass (Biophytum petersianum) in male mice (Mus musculus). The method of this study was male mice were divided into 6 groups, each consisting of 4 rats, namely the untreated group, negative control (Na-CMC 0.5%), positive control (Allopurinol 10mg/kgBW) and 3 test groups (EERK). 67.5 mg/kg BW, 130 mg/kg BW and 270 mg/kg BW). The negative control group, positive and test, were induced by high purine foods orally for 7 days. On day 7, each group was induced by potassium oxonate, then uric acid levels were measured after 1 hour and continued with treatment. After the treatment, uric acid levels were measured with a time lag of 1 hour and 2 hours. The test results data were analyzed by the method of analysis of variance (One way ANOVA). The results of the analysis showed that the administration of EERK 67.5 mg/kg BW, 130 mg/kg BW, 270 mg/kg BW gave a decrease in uric acid levels. The conclusion of the study was that the ethanol extract of Kebar Grass (Biophytum petersianum) had the potential to reduce uric acid levels in male mice (Mus musculus).   Keyword: Uric Acid, Gout, Kebar  GrassAbstrak:   Hiperurisemia adalah keadaan dimana terjadi peningkatan kadar asam urat darah di atas ambang batas normal. Rumput kebar (Biophytum petersianum) memiliki kandungan flavonoid, alkaloid, saponin, tanin dan triterpenoid. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui potensi penurunan kadar asam urat dari pemberian ekstrak etanol rumput kebar (Biophytum petersianum) pada mencit jantan (Mus musculus). Metode penelitian ini adalah mencit jantan dibagi dalam 6 kelompok, masing-masing terdiri dari 4 ekor tikus yaitu kelompok tanpa perlakuan, kontrol negatif (Na-CMC 0,5%), kontrol positif (Allopurinol 10mg/kgBB) dan 3 kelompok uji (EERK 67,5 mg/kg BB, 130 mg/kg BB dan 270 mg/kg BB). Kelompok kontrol negatif, positif dan uji, diinduksi makanan tinggi purin secara oral selama 7 hari. Pada hari ke 7 masing-masing kelompok diinduksi kalium oksonat, lalu dilakukan pengukuran kadar asam urat setelah 1 jam dan dilanjutkan perlakuan. Setelah perlakuan dilakukan pengukuran kadar asam urat dengan jeda waktu 1 jam dan 2 jam. Data hasil pengujian dianalisis dengan metode analisis varian (One way ANOVA). Hasil analisis menunjukkan pemberian EERK 67,5 mg/kg BB, 130 mg/kg BB, 270 mg/kg BB memberikan penurunan kadar asam urat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ekstrak etanol Rumput Kebar (Biophytum petersianum) memiliki potensi menurunkan kadar asam urat pada mencit jantan (Mus musculus).      Kata kunci: Asam Urat, Gout, Rumput Keba
