This paper aims to offer an overview of the impact of feminist theory and gender studies in the field of Hispanic literature. Undoubtedly, the incorporation of this perspective has allowed to recover the works of numerous women writers and intellectuals and to generate a remarkable corpus of works on the representation of gender in Hispanic literature.
