Extracción del aceite esencial de tifo (minthostachys mollis), mediante la metodología de arrastre de vapor

The Tifo plant develops in the high areas of the Andes in climatic conditions of abundant rainfall and wide range of light, thus generating the acquisition of various beneficial properties such as: antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, therefore, the present research aimed to extract the essential oil of Tifo (Minthostachys mollis), by the methodology of steam trawling using the equipment brand Lanphan Ltd, China, with which the best experimental extraction conditions were obtained according to the yield index, by applying a response surface experimental design in the Design Expert 8.0.6 programmed. The best extraction conditions were obtained in a time of 150 min with a mass/solvent ratio of 1.5, establishing 17 runs in 3 mass/solvent ratios (1:3; 1:4; 1:5), in addition to 3 different times (60; 105; 150) (min), thus giving rise to the best extraction conditions in a time of 150 min with a mass/solvent ratio of 1: 5, furthermore, the chemical composition of the volatile compounds of the essential oil was determined by gas chromatography adapted to a mass detector, resulting in the presence of 19 volatile compounds, two majority values such as Carvacryl Acetate with 44. 01% and Carvacrol with 16.51%, at the same time the antioxidant capacity was evaluated by means of FRAP and ABTS methodologies, obtaining 18.20 µmol 〖Fe〗^(+2)/g and 25. 45 µmol ET/g, on the other hand, the antimicrobial activity was evaluated in bacterial strains present in food matrices, by the methodology of minimum inhibitory concentrations, generating an antimicrobial efficacy of the essential oil at a concentration of 0. 1% on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, followed by 3% on Salmonella enterica U822s, Esterichia coli ATTC 25922, Listeria monocytogenes ATTC 19115 and Bacillus cereus ATTC 10876, and finally with the Staphylococcus aureus strain ATTC25923 with an activity of 5%.La planta de Tifo se desarrolla en las zonas altas de los Andes en condiciones climáticas de abundante precipitación y amplia gama de luz generando así la adquisición de diversas propiedades beneficiosas tales como: antibacterianas y antiinflamatorias, por lo tanto, la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo extraer el aceite esencial de tifo (Minthostachys mollis), por la metodología de arrastre de vapor mediante el equipo de marca Lanphan Ltd., China, con el que se obtuvo las mejores condiciones experimentales de la extracción en función al índice de rendimiento, mediante la aplicación de un diseño experimental de superficie respuesta en el programa Desing Expert 8,0.6., estableciendo 17 corridas en 3 relaciones masa/ disolvente (1:3; 1:4; 1:5), además de 3 diferentes tiempos (60; 105; 150) (min), dando así lugar a las mejores condiciones de extracción en un tiempo de 150 min con una relación de masa/ disolvente de 1:5, a más de ello se determinó la composición química de los compuestos volátiles del aceite esencial, mediante cromatografía de gases adaptado a un detector de masas, dando como resultado la presencia de 19 compuestos volátiles, dos valores mayoritarios tal es el Carvacril Acetato con un 44.01% y el Carvacrol con un 16.51%, a la vez se evaluó la capacidad antioxidante, por medio de las metodologías FRAP y ABTS obteniendo 18.20 µmol 〖Fe〗^(+2)/g y 25.45 µmol ET/g, por otro lado, se evaluó la actividad antimicrobiana en cepas bacterianas presentes en matrices alimentarias, por la metodología de concentraciones mínimas inhibitoria, generado una eficacia antimicrobiana del aceite esencial a una concentración del 0.1% en la Pseudomonas aeruginosa , seguido con un 3 % Salmonella entérica U822s, Esterichia coli ATTC 25922, Listeria monocytogenes ATTC 19115 y Bacillus cereus ATTC 10876, finalmente con la cepa Staphylococcus aureus ATTC25923 con una actividad de 5%
