Prevalencia de parásitos gastrointestinales en granjas de producción porcina de la provincia de Sucumbíos

The present research project was developed in order to establish the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites in pig production farms, in the province of Sucumbíos. 300 stool tests were taken with the help of laboratory instruments: microscope, centrifuge, object holder, object cover, sucrose solution and mainly the stool sample. By means of the ovoscopichelminth method of concentration, all positive and negative cases are established without distinction in their race and age, the most frequent parasites were determined for the socialization of results with the owners. The research is developed in the province of Sucumbíos, the sampling will be carried out in the most significant cantons in pig production in the province. Of the results obtained in the 184 females, 40% were positive and 60% negative for gastrointestinal parasites. In the 115 males, 26% were positive and 74% negative for gastrointestinal parasites. The most frequent parasites were Strongyloides. It was concluded that in the medium and small pig productions of the cantons Cáscales, LagoAgrio, Shushufindi, Putumayo and Cuyabeno present a percentage of gastrointestinal parasitosis less than 50% of the total of those sampled.El presente proyecto investigativo se desarrolló con el fin de establecer la prevalencia de parásitos gastrointestinales en granjas de producción porcina, en la provincia de Sucumbíos. Se tomó 300 exámenes coproparasitológico con la ayuda del instrumental de laboratorio: microscopio, centrifugadora, porta objetos, cubre objetos, solución sacarosa y principalmente la muestra de heces. Mediante el método helminto ovoscópica de concentración, se establecen todos los casos positivos y negativos sin distinción en su raza y edad se determinaron los parásitos más frecuentes para la socialización de resultados con los propietarios. La investigación es desarrollada en la provincia de Sucumbíos, el muestreo se realizará en los cantones más significativos en producción de cerdos de la provincia. De los resultados obtenidos en las 184 hembras, el 40% salieron positivos y el 60% negativos a parásitos gastrointestinales. En los 115 machos, el 26% salieron positivos y el 74% negativos en parásitos gastrointestinales. Cómo parásitos más frecuentes se visualizaron los Strongyloides. Se concluyó que en las medianas y pequeñas producciones porcinas de los cantones Cáscales, Lago Agrio, Shushufindi, Putumayo y Cuyabeno presentan un porcentaje de parasitosis gastrointestinal menor al 50% del total de los muestreados
