Museus no Ciberespaço: as redes sociais como nova dinâmica do público digital

Contemporaneity, deeply marked by the penetration of ICTs, strives to understand how Cyberculture will be able to combine activities, interactions and manifestations within an individualized and globalized but also “deterritorialized” territory. ICTs have become essential in the lives of most individuals, becoming practically their “second nature”, with speedy popularity and portability, exponentially expanding global network communication. The present study focuses on the results obtained from research to describe the interactions and shares found in the Museum of Tomorrow Facebook page, in Rio de Janeiro, and its virtual audience, before and after the closing of the institution as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Some issues are addressed about the paths of museums in the 21st century and how they can balance between traditions and digital technologies, between materialities and virtualities. These issues remain unclear, without defined horizons, in the face of the digital turmoil that challenges parameters and perceptions of global society.A contemporaneidade, profundamente marcada pela penetração das TICs, esforça-se para compreender de que forma a Cibercultura conseguirá aglutinar atividades, interações e manifestações dentro de um território individualizado e globalizado, mas desterritorializado. As TICs tornaram-se essenciais na vida de grande parte dos indivíduos, tornando-se, praticamente, sua “segunda natureza”, com a rápida popularização e portabilidade, ampliando exponencialmente a comunicação em rede global. O artigo traz uma reflexão sobre resultados obtidos a partir de pesquisa para verificar as interações e compartilhamentos realizados entre o Facebook do Museu do Amanhã, no Rio de Janeiro, e seu público virtual, antes e depois do fechamento da instituição em consequência da pandemia Covid-19. São levantadas questões sobre os caminhos dos museus no século XXI e como poderão equilibrar-se entre tradições e tecnologias digitais, entre materialidades e virtualidades – questões que permanecem abertas, sem horizontes definidos, diante do turbilhão digital que desafia parâmetros e percepções da sociedade global
