Hintergrund: Die Sichelzellkrankheit (Sickle Cell Disease, SCD) ist eine in der Schweiz seltene, chronische, hämatologische Erbkrankheit. Sie löst unter anderem wiederholt heftige Schmerzkrisen aus, ruft schwere Infektionen hervor und erfordert häufige Hospitalisationen. Gegenwärtig ist wenig bekannt, was aus der Perspektive von Jugendlichen die Alltags- erfahrungen mit SCD sind. Ziel: Mit der Studie wurde der Frage nachgegangen was den Alltag von Jugendlichen mit SCD prägt und welche Herausforderungen sich zeigen.
