The records of women\u27s history in Taekwondo are limited due to social, cultural and ideological conventions about women\u27s participation in sports. This paper provides an initial contribution to the origins, development and present women’s history in “Olympic Taekwondo”, as it is popularly called. The main objective of this research is to identify and outline the female participation in Argentine Women’s Taekwondo (WT), from its origin to the present day, on the basis of a series of interviews with outstanding Argentine women in the discipline.
