The objective of this study is to obtain the highest oxidation states of the transition metals oxides with fused NaOH-KOH eutectic. Particularly, the focus here is on the chromium group, which contains chromium and molybdenum. (Tungsten is an exception.) In addition, highlights on vanadium and copper elements in order to get their highest oxidation states. Note that all these four elements are metals since they belong to the transition metals. The instruments that were used in this investigation are ultraviolet-visible reflectance spectroscopy and raman scattering
