SIGNIFICADO SOCIOEMOCIONAL Y EDUCATIVO DE LA CUARENTENA TOTAL A CAUSA DE LA PANDEMIA, PARA UN GRUPO DE ADOLESCENTES UNIVERSITARIOS DE DIFERENTES AREAS DE CONOCIMIENTO, UNIVERSIDAD DE PANAMÁ.

Research with a qualitative approach, ethnographic approach and with a focus group technique; The purpose was to contextualize the experiences related to the socio-emotional and educational dimension of a group of university adolescents in the face of total quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The informants in total 50, all second-year students at the CRU of Veraguas, were divided into three focus groups according to the Faculty where they studied: Exact Sciences, Humanities and Nursing. The instrument, a semi-structured interview with eight guiding questions. The collection of information and its analysis was done through the filming of the synchronous session of each focus group, it was coded twice, the first open and the second closed. In the socio-emotional dimension, the experiences linked to the total quarantine include the sensation of mobility restriction and consequently affectation of freedom, divided considerations about the effectiveness of the measure to contain the disease, emotions experienced such psychosomatics commented, such as insomnia, irritability, headaches. They took refuge in coping mechanisms such as: spirituality, family union, virtual meetings, social networks and home entertainment. In the educational dimension, the challenge was not to drop out of the degree given virtual teaching and the as fear, sadness, anxiety, stress, worry and desire to see friends. As for changes in their health, that lack of technological tools and skills to manage them; to continue studying they adapted corners in their homes, invested in the internet and moved in with relatives who had home internet. They consider that it is possible to learn in virtual teaching, but it depends on the teacher's skills on the subject, on the tools that the student has and also on the type of content of the courses, not all of them can be taught in virtuality.La investigación, con enfoque cualitativo, abordaje etnográfico con la técnica de grupos focales; el propósito fue contextualizar las vivencias relacionadas con la dimensión socioemocional y educativa de un grupo de adolescentes universitarios ante la cuarentena total a causa de la pandemia por COVID-19. Los informantes en total 50, todos estudiantes de segundo año en el CRU de Veraguas se dividieron en tres grupos focales según la Facultad donde estudiaban: Ciencias Exactas, Humanidades y Enfermería. El instrumento, una entrevista semi estructurada con ocho preguntas orientadoras. La captación de información y su análisis se hizo a través de la filmación de la sesión síncrona de la entrevista de cada grupo focal; se codificó en dos ocasiones, la primera abierta y la segunda cerrada. En la dimensión socioemocional las vivencias vinculadas a la cuarentena total abarcan la sensación de restricción de movilidad y en consecuencia afectación en la libertad, consideraciones divididas acerca de la efectividad de la medida para contener la enfermedad, emociones vividas tales como miedo, tristeza, ansiedad, estrés, preocupación y añoranza por ver a los amigos. En cuanto a cambios en su salud comentaron aquellos psicosomáticos como insomnio, irritabilidad, cefaleas. Se refugiaron en mecanismos de afrontamiento como: la espiritualidad, unión familiar, reuniones virtuales, redes sociales y entretenimiento en casa. En la dimensión educativa el reto fue no desertar de la carrera, dada la enseñanza virtual y la falta de herramientas tecnológicas y las pocas competencias para manejarlas-Para seguir estudiando adecuaron rincones en sus hogares, invirtieron en internet y se mudaron con familiares que tenían internet residencial. Consideran que sí se aprende en la enseñanza virtual, pero depende de las competencias del docente sobre el tema, de las herramientas que tenga el estudiante y también de tipo de contenidos de los cursos, es decir, no todos pueden enseñarse en la virtualidad
