Course Description:This 2-credit course highlights how motors and transformers are utilized in industrial applications. In the course, students wire and troubleshoot single and 3 phase AC motors, DC Motors, and stepper and servo motors using ladder diagrams. Students also program and wire variable frequency drives (VFD's) to control 3 phase AC motors.
