“Introduction to African Studies: Africa Today” is an interdisciplinary survey course that looks at various aspects of the African experience with a view to enhancing students’ knowledge and understanding of Africa. In particular, students focused on how Africa’s past plays a role in its development--today and in the future. Groups of students created podcasts on 21st century social issues in a target country that they studied over the course of the semester to contribute to a fuller, interdisciplinary view of Africa Today.https://kb.gcsu.edu/africatoday/1001/thumbnail.jp
