Os Contextos do Ensino Remoto e Remoto/Presencial sob a Perspectiva dos Alunos do Ensino Médio durante a Pandemia da COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 pandemics, contention measures were implemented by countries to slow the dissemination of the virus, leading to school and university closures. As an immediate solution in-person classes were moved to the online environment, then being referred to as “Remote Teaching”, which has been a challenge both students and teachers are facing. In this context, this research examines the perception of high school students from private high schools in São Paulo regarding the quality of their education and the impacts on learning during the times of remote teaching and remote/in-person teaching. The data were collected using semi-structured interviews with five students from different high schools. The interviews took place in early 2021, when schools were returning to in-person classes, but had to adopt different strategies to stay in conformity with sanitary protocols. The analysis was focused on the high schools’ organizational and infrastructural aspects, the teaching strategies that were adopted, their impact on learning, teacher-student relations, and students’ social life. Our results show that between the years of 2020 and 2021, there were organizational rearrangements that caused considerable limitations to the learning process, not only from a technical perspective, but also pedagogically. We can infer that technology allowed for the continuation of the education process, but its potentialities were underused. We conclude that although the schools have taken an important step towards the usage of digital resources in teaching, the reformulation of their pedagogical projects is still essential to really integrate remote and in-person activities. Pandemics.Devido à pandemia da COVID-19, muitos países adotaram medidas de contenção para frear a disseminação do novo coronavírus, incluindo o fechamento de escolas e de universidades. Como solução imediata, as aulas presenciais foram transferidas do contexto presencial para o virtual, chamado de Ensino Remoto, cuja dinâmica se colocou como um novo desafio para alunos e professores. Nesse cenário, nosso objetivo foi analisar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem nos contextos remoto e remoto/presencial, a partir da percepção de alunos do ensino médio de escolas particulares da cidade de São Paulo. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, com cinco alunas de diferentes colégios. Essa coleta ocorreu no início de 2021, momento em que as escolas experimentaram o retorno às aulas presenciais, com estratégias diversificadas para atender aos protocolos sanitários. A análise foi realizada tendo como foco a organização e a infraestrutura das escolas, as estratégias de ensino adotadas, os impactos dessas estratégias em relação à aprendizagem, as relações professor-aluno e o convívio social. Os resultados evidenciaram que entre os anos de 2020 e 2021 houve rearranjos organizacionais com limitações consideráveis para a aprendizagem, não apenas do ponto de vista técnico, mas também pedagógico. Podemos inferir que a tecnologia permitiu a continuidade do processo, mas as suas potencialidades foram subaproveitadas. Concluímos que embora as escolas tenham dado um primeiro passo em direção ao emprego de recursos digitais no ensino, é imprescindível que reformulem seus projetos pedagógicos de modo a integrar de fato as atividades remotas às presenciais.
