The Politics of Contagion

Not since the 2008-09 Great Recession and, prior to that, the Great Depression of the 1930s have national elections been conducted during an economic crisis. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 elections will be held in the midst of a combined public health, economic, and leadership crisis.
