Earlier investigations showed that the study area has the highest frequency of new sinkhole collapses in the Orlando area. New sinkholes and old sinkholes were treated as subpopulations of the total sinkhole population in the area. The area contains 385 sinkholes with the area ranging from 0.0002-0.57 km2. The terrane evaluation is part of the geomorphological quantitative analysis of karst relief. A lack of correlation of old and new sinkhole densities eliminate it\u27s application to sinkhole hazard predictions in thickly covered karst. -from Autho
