Demographic projections confirm a dramatic increase in the size of America\u27s elderly population over the next several decades. The elderly now comprise 13% of the population; by 2045, they will comprise 22%. As the elderly population grows, so too will the elderly poor, the elderly homeless, and the elderly uninsured.
