Cross Sectional study on Maternal and Perinatal Outcome in Infertility treated Patients

In this study concerning infertility, of 256 study subjects various concerns and risk factors were analysed in a prospective trial. All the obstetrics high risk factors like medical comorbidites hypertensive disorders, multiple pregnancy, pregnancy wastage have all been found to be significantly associated with the outcomes , so this study is the step towards planning and designing evidence based management protocols. Subfertility is a major cause of depression among the educated present population. Analysis of factors which influence the maternal and fetal outcome will pave a major role in management of the same and thereby serving both the physical and mental health components of the ailing crowd. This study coined the influencing factors to be mostly associated with artificial reproduction technology viz., IVF and ICSI. These associations are to studied via larger trials to ascertain the strength of association if any and quantification of the same will give the clue for traiging with respect to formulation of management protocols. The expected obstetric complications should be assessed with respect to quantum of affect and managing the same has to be planned. Formulation of protocols should progress to universalisation of the same. Such studies should throw light into identifying, quantifying and addressing the influencing factors. As maternal age keeps rising and subfertility surfaces and peaks, studies aimed at improvising and standardisation of management protocols will drive towards the optimisation of outcomes. Quality management tools are an addition to the already established treatment protocols with regard to obstetrics. Infertility management designs are to be modified based on specific quality care indicators, which shall get into shape with studies of this kind.
