SOLUÇÕES BASEADAS NA NATUREZA NA FORMAÇÃO DE CORREDOR ECOLÓGICO EM PINDAMONHANGABA, SÃO PAULO, BRASIL

The Atlantic Forest is the most threatened biodiverse hotspot on the planet. Adopting Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) in the management of cities is a strategy to make the lives of 70% of the Braziliam population that live in this biome. The objective of this research is to propose integrated planning in the management of public and private green areas to readjust the afforestation with landscape and ecological corridor in the Residencial Lessa neighborhood, in Pindamonhangaba/SP. The hypothesis is that the planting of wood and native fruits in public areas and the cultivation of the juçara palm (Euterpe edulis) in agroforestry backyards (ABy) are NbS that enhance the formation of an ecological corridor. In this work, we present the result of a sample inventory of afforestation, before and after enrichment planting, and a survey of the ABy area suitable for juçara planting. The enrichment of urban afforestation resulted in an increase in the frequency of native species (16%), reduced fragmentation and increased connectivity between areas of relevant ecological interest. The planting of juçara in ABy is an NbS that improves the conservation of this endangered species, inserts residents in ecological restoration and reinforces food and nutritional security by encouraging the consumption of juçara pulp, rich in antioxidants.El Bosque Atlántico es el punto caliente de biodiversidad más amenazado del planeta. La adopción de Soluciones Basadas en la Naturaleza (SbN) en la gestión de las ciudades es una estrategia para hacer la vida del 70% de la población brasileña que vive en este bioma. El objetivo de esta investigación es proponer la planificación integrada en la gestión de áreas verdes públicas y privadas para readecuar la forestación con paisaje y corredor ecológico en el barrio Residencial Lessa, en Pindamonhangaba/SP. La hipótesis es que la siembra de madera y frutas nativas en áreas públicas y el cultivo de la palma juçara (Euterpe edulis) en traspatios agroforestales (TA) son SbN que favorecen la formación de un corredor ecológico. En este trabajo, presentamos el resultado de un inventario muestral de forestación, antes y después de la plantación de enriquecimiento, y un levantamiento del área TA apta para la plantación de juçara. El enriquecimiento de la forestación urbana resultó en un aumento en la frecuencia de especies nativas (16%), reducción de la fragmentación y aumento de la conectividad entre áreas de interés ecológico relevante. La plantación de juçara en TA es una SbN que mejora la conservación de esta especie en peligro de extinción, inserta a los habitantes en la restauración ecológica y refuerza la seguridad alimentaria y nutricional al incentivar el consumo de pulpa de juçara, rica en antioxidantes.O objetivo desta pesquisa é propor o planejamento integrado na gestão de áreas verdes públicas e privadas para readequar a arborização com fins paisagístico e ecológico em uma área urbana no bairro Residencial Lessa, em Pindamonhangaba/SP. A hipótese é de que o plantio de madeiras e frutas nativas em áreas públicas e o cultivo da palmeira juçara (Euterpe edulis) em quintais agroflorestais (QA) são soluções baseadas na natureza (SbN) que potencializam a formação de um corredor ecológico e reforçam a conservação da Mata Atlântica. Apresentamos o resultado de um inventário amostral da arborização, antes e após o plantio de enriquecimento, e o levantamento da área de QA apta ao plantio de juçara. O enriquecimento da arborização urbana resultou no aumento da frequência de espécies nativas (16%), reduziu a fragmentação e ampliou a conectividade entre áreas de relevante interesse ecológico. O plantio da juçara em QA é uma SbN que melhora a conservação dessa espécie ameaçada de extinção, insere os moradores na restauração ecológica e reforça a segurança alimentar e nutricional por meio do incentivo ao consumo da polpa de juçara, rica em antioxidantes.
