Taking the current socio-cultural representations of the body as a starting point, the article intends to explore the dimension of body experience as the root of self-expression in a perspective cura sui. The phenomenological outline of a pedagogy of being a body that plays a decisive role in the formation of the self is outlined. From such an interpretation of corporeality, it is possible to build an "inclusive culture of plurality" that understands the experience of limitation as a hermeneutic exercise of possibility and that activates the processes of agency and empowerment of the subject.
