The use of plants for therapeutic purposes has followed the history of man since the most primitive times, given the large number and possibility of illnesses faced throughout life. The study of therapeutic characteristics of plants in an exclusively Brazilian biome, such as the Caatinga, allows the creation of new therapeutic approaches for the treatment of diseases in animals in general. Among these therapeutic characteristics, it has anti-inflammatory properties that enable the acceleration of cell regeneration, decreasing the risk of contracting infection.
