In this paper, we present the results of a research whose objective was to investigate the mobilization of Proportional Reasoning in a mathematical modeling activity developed in the context of remote education. The theoretical foundation is based on the understanding of Mathematical Modeling as a pedagogical alternative and Proportional Reasoning characterized in aspects by Lamon. Considering a qualitative approach, we analyzed a set of data obtained by digital means of written records, speeches and gestures of students from the 4th year of elementary school in the development of a mathematical modeling activity.
