ANALISIS MAKNA PADA MITOS PEDAN KUBUR DUSUN BERIRIJARAK KECAMATAN WANASABA PENDEKATAN SOSIOLINGUISTIK

This research was conducted to find out the meaning contained in the myth of Pedan Kubur. as for the way of collecting data by using interviews, observation, and documentation studies.then data analysis method used is a qualitative description method, where the qualitative approach is to emphasize the meaning of reasoning. The theory used is roland barthes’ theory which uses semiotic theory in finding the denotative and connotative meaning contained in the Pedan Kubur, find the cause so that the Pedan Kubur becomes a belief in the Beririjarak community or what cause it to survive until now, and knowing the positive and negative impact of the myth of the Pedan Kubur in the social life of the Beririjarak community.Keywords: myth, Sociolinguistics, Pedan Kubur
