The purpose of our research is twofold: initially, to investigate whether these tasks allow the perception of the second language acquisition (non materialistic way); secondly, to examine whether a phonemic awareness, specific to this new language, is developed. A group of first grade children was assigned a series of exercises of pseudoword spelling and "intruder research". The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the errors, revealed the use of different strategies during these two tasks, which gives evidence of the absence of a new phonemic awareness.Les t...
