Cross informs Langer that he has been elected as the first vice-president of the National Congress of American Indians. Cross also says that he plans to be in Washington, D.C. after the 10th of January to get approval for a group of delegates to come to Washington, D.C. to help facilitate the pending bills that will benefit the Three Affiliated Tribes.
