Strategi Penanganan Kemiskinan Masyarakat Di Kecamatan Batu Hampar Kabupaten Rokan Hilir Provinsi Riau

Poverty in Batu Hampar District is quite significant. Batu Hampar District is a district located in Rokan Hilir Regency. Basically poverty is a classic problem that has existed since mankind existed. Poverty is a complex problem, with many faces, and it seems that it will continue to be an actual problem from time to time. Although until now there has not been found a formula or formula for poverty alleviation that is considered the most effective and relevant. Therefore, the study of concepts and strategies for poverty alleviation must continue to be pursued. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of poverty in Batu Hampar District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method which aims to describe the characteristics of poverty, the causes of poverty and strategies for dealing with poverty. Quantitative method can be defined as a research method based on the philosophy of positivism, used to examine a particular population or sample. The results obtained from the poverty management strategy in Batu Hampar District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, among others, by optimizing and increasing agricultural production and productivity, increasing community self-help in economic quality, improving market management, making it easier to grant land certificates and in establishing an economic business. Programs that address the problem of poverty include; improve services and productivity of traditional markets in Batu Hampar District, develop community UMKM activities to develop businesses, create a youth organization in preserving and maintaining traditions and culture of increasing agricultural production, socializing the benefits that will be obtained by the community by cooperating with the government
