Kesantunan Tuturan Dalam Kolom Komentar Akun Twitter Anies Baswedan

This research is motivated by the IDX Channel news which mentions: that the level of politeness of Indonesian netizens is the lowest in Southeast Asia. From 32 countries in the world Indonesia is ranked 29th. The purpose of this research is to explore and elaborate the scale of politeness in netizen's speech in the comments column of Anies Baswedan's twitter account. The theory used as the basis for studying the problem of this research is the theory that proposed by Leech (2005). The method used is the content . method analysis. The data collection technique in this research is the documentation technique and free-of-conversation listening techniques. Data analysis techniques used using content analysis techniques according to Burhan Bugin. Inspection technique The validity of the data that the author uses in this study is a checking technique the reliability and checking the validity. Based on checking the reliability the amount of data in this study, there are 186 speech data. Based on the results checking the validity there are 283 speech data that are classified in the ranking the language politeness scale according to Leech. Polite speech is 221 speech data while impolite speech amounted to 62 speech data. Based on the distribution of the data above, it can be concluded that the utterances of netizens in Anies Baswedan's twitter account is included in the polite speech category. Thus the results of this study are not in line with the IDX Channel news. It should be noted that politeness in speaking is sometimes influenced by several factors, one of which is the account owner's post that makes netizens argue politely and not politely. Besides that, there is also a reason why Warganet can give impolite comments because lack of respect for one another
