This study aims to determine the effect of the talking stick type cooperative learning model on self-confidence and mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VII students of SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru. This research was started from February 4 until 22 in 2020. The research is Quasi Experiment (Quasi Experiment). The design is Nonequivaent control group design. The population of this research is all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 35 Pekanbaru. Samples were selected using purposive sampling. Class VII2 as an experimental class with 40 students and class VII1 as a control class with 39 students. Data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires and tests.
