Nilai Estetika Tari Olat Boso Di Sanggar Bina Tasik Pangkalan Kerinci Provinsi Riau

Art studios in Riau Province can be said to have an important role in Malay culture and tradition. However, some Malay art studios cannot maintain their existence. One of the Malay studios that still survives today is the Bina Tasik Studio in Pangkalan Kerinci City, Pelalawan Regency. The studio which has been established for approximately 13 years has many achievements by participating in national and even international level events. One of the dances originating from this studio is the Boso Olat Dance which is performed in a show. Therefore, researchers are interested in studying the aesthetic value of the dance. Objective: This study aims to determine the choreography and aesthetics of the Olat Boso Dance at the Tasik Bina Studio, Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau Province. Research method: This research, which was conducted from January to June 2021, is an analytical descriptive study with an approach. Data collection techniques using interview observation and documentation techniques. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data display and conclusions or levers. The subjects of this research are choreographers, dancers, makeup, foaming, music and composers. The object of this research is the Boso Olat Dance. Result: Faizal Andri, S. Pd., M. Pd tried to create a new creation with a duration of 7 minutes. This Boso Olat Dancewas made in 2017 with a process of approximately 6 months. The movements in the Olat Boso dance use movements that have been developed. The music used is dance music. Costume for male dancers use muslim clothes and songket clothes., while female dancers use Kebaya Laboh clothes and skirts.
