Pelaksanaan Fungsi Pemberdayaan Masyarakat di Desa Ganting Damai Kecamatan Salo Kabupaten Kampar

Community empowerment is an effort to increase the capabilities and potential of the community, so that the community can realize their identity, dignity and dignity to survive and develop themselves independently, both in the economic, social, religious and cultural fields. Community empowerment, especially in rural areas, is not enough just to increase productivity, provide equal business opportunities or provide capital, but must also be followed by changes in the socio-economic structure of the community, supporting the development of community potential through increased roles, productivity and efficiency. Therefore the purpose of this study is to analyze and identify how the implementation of the community empowerment function and what are the obstacles to the implementation of the community empowerment function in Ganting Damai Village, Salo District, Kampar Regency. The inhibiting factors in the process of implementing this empowerment function can be reviewed through community empowerment according to Kartasasmita, namely: Enabling, Empowering, and Protecting. This research method is a quantitative method. The location of this research is in Ganting Damai Village, Salo District, Kampar Regency. This type of research is a descriptive survey, where data and information collected through field observations and serve as a basis for describing each indicator and digging deeper into matters relating to the object of research. After the research is done, then grouped according to the type and type of data and added with quantitative information that is supportive in explaining the results of the study
