Analisis Keberhasilan Stimulasi Asam Metode Bullhead Pada Area X Lapangan Heavy Oil PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia

Heavy oil is an oil with a high viscosity so it is very difficult to flow to the surface. Then, steam flood was conducted so that the heavy oil could be produced. The steam which meet heavy oil potentially cause scale around wellbore so that decreasing fluid production. At Area X, base on several well production data, there were production decrease about 15% of previous production test. While in other side, there were no pump failure indication. So, it can be confirmed that production decrease was caused by scale. To clean-up the scale, acidizing job was conducted. For this research, acid washing method was executed by bullhead method. Evaluation phase was started from field. Then, several wells by production data, pump performance, and logging. The successful rate and the cause of bullhead stimulation failure on other wells will be known after the data being evaluated. Job or recommendation method will be given to increase the successful chance of bullhead stimulation to the performed wells. There will be some criteria in selecting the bullhead acid stimulation candidates. Base on the performed research, this bullhead acidizing stimulation method was quite efficient conducted in Area X with successful rate more than 70% of the performed wells. The screening criteria of the analytic result can be used in selecting next candidates. Hopefully, the screening criteria can increase the successful rate of this bullhead method in this Area X
