Eksisten Grup Musik Gondang Batak Maduma Di Kota Pekanbaru Provinsi Riau

This study aims to determine the existence of the Gondang Batak Maduma Music Group in Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The theory used by Farhani (2016: 12-14). The research method is descriptive with qualitative data. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. The research subjects were 4 people. The results showed that with the results of hard work and strong determination, this group began to be recognized, which could be seen from the jobs they filled. The Maduma Group is increasingly receiving jobs and is increasingly favored by the people of Pekanbaru City, because the music performed by the Maduma Group makes the atmosphere more festive and is added to the vocals of the Maduma Group Trio which have good and compact voices. Not only that, what made the community amazed by this group was a female Tagading (drum) player, therefore many people asked the Maduma Group to make the Tagading player a woman. Factors that influence the existence of the Gondang Batak Maduma Music Group are good management, organizational structure, solidity in achieving goals, characteristics, stage experience. Good management of Gondang Batak Maduma Music Group which aims to develop the organization to be better and still exist. Several things related to the activities of the Gondang Batak Maduma Music Group, namely board meetings, determining training schedules, financial management and evaluation systems. The organizational structure functions to regulate financial management, training schedules, performance schedules, tool conditioning and so on according to the authority of each manager. Solid in achieving the goals of the music group has a way of introducing or promoting the Maduma Group. The hallmark of a music group that has the Lorosae logo which means the sun rises. The experience of performing the Gondang Batak Maduma Music Group is filling formal events as well as traditional events and other events
