This study aims to determine the profile of the level of critical thinking skills of science students based on a gender perspective in solving problems in the daily test questions on environmental pollution material at the MTs level in the form of descriptive research. The instrument used was a matter of critical thinking on environmental pollution material made with reference to the 2016 revised curriculum teaching materials and interviews. This study used a saturated sample that included all 109 students of class VIII1, VIII2, VIII3, and VIII4 of MTs Hasanah Pekanbaru.
