Peran Dinas Tenaga Kerja Dalam Penanganan Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja Di Kota Pekanbaru (Studi Pemutusan Kerja Dampak Covid-19)

Termination of employment or more commonly referred to as layoffs is one of the impacts of the global economic crisis due to the coronavirus disease pandemic or commonly known as Covid-19. Many companies claim that it is difficult to survive during a crisis like this. Some of them have even made massive layoffs. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Pekanbaru City Manpower Office in handling workers who were laid off due to the Corona or Covid-19 virus pandemic. The problem in this thesis is that the number of employees who are dismissed simultaneously is the role of the Manpower Office in handling Termination of Employment in Pekanbaru City. The type of research in this thesis writing is a qualitative research method, namely research that makes a human being a respondent who is adjusted to the situation in the field. This research procedure produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from the person of interest. This writing consists of primary data, namely Research in the form of interviews, documentation and observations and secondary data obtained, namely the results of interviews with research results, namely the role of the internal labor service handling layoffs in the city of Pekanbaru involving several institutions, namely the Manpower Office, the Indonesian Employers Association and Employees. Conclusion The Role of the Department of Manpower in Relief of Termination of Employment In Pekanbaru City currently doing a lot of work both in the Termination of Employment sector or workers who register as job seekers, the Manpower Office and its employees suggest that they can provide special training for all workers who wants to need it
