Analisis Eufemisme Dalam Rubrik Pro Kuantan Singingi Surat Kabar Harian Riau Pos Edisi 1-31 Januari 2019

Talk about smoothing the word against symptoms the appearance of words or forms that are considered to have meaning more subtle, or more polite is replaced. This term is called euphemism. Smoothing out the meaning of the word seems to be a common symptom in society. The problem in this study is (1) how is the form euphemism in the pro Kuantan Singingi rubric of the Riau Pos daily newspaper Edition 1- January 31, 2019. The purpose of this study is to describe the form euphemism in the Pro Kuantan Singingi rubric of the Riau Pos daily newspaper Edition 1- January 31, 2019. The approach in this study is qualitative, with type literature research and data collection techniques in the form of techniques hermeneutic. The data analysis technique in this study is by classifying data based on the problem in this study, and the last one to do data analysis. After the data is analyzed, it is presented in the data presentation chapter, and conclusions from this study were taken. Conclusions in this study that is the existence of a form of euphemism for taking words from foreign languages, namely 6 data were found, one of which was the expression of sharing. A form of euphemism using a longer phrase or description found 8 data is incorrect one data found is an expression of alleged abuse. And shape euphemism avoids hard understanding found as many as 56 data is wrong one data found is the expression of death. Avoid forms of euphemism hard understanding is found, because the media uses euphemism for things that are better or more polite to convey and also avoid unwanted things
