This study aims to see and find out the extent of the role of the Village Head in Development in the Petapahan Jaya Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. In accordance with the problem, the type of research is descriptive survey using quantitative methods. This research was conducted in Petapahan Jaya Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The reason the researchers took the location of this research was based on the phenomenon that the Role of Village Heads in the Implementation of Development in the Jaya Residential Village was less coordinated with other village officials so that many development processes in the Petapahan Jaya Village were less effective and efficient, as stated in the background of the problem. Based on the results of research and discussion on the Role of Village Heads in Development in the Petapahan Jaya Village categorized as Good, this can be seen from 35 people or as much as 38.48% stating that the overall indicator of the Role of Village Heads in the Development of Jaya Rural Village is Good, because percentage of 34-66%. There are also obstacles that are found in the Role of the Village Chief in the Development of the Jaya Village Village, namely: The low quality of human resources in Petapahan Jaya Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Lack of supervision and monitoring by the Village Head to the community in carrying out development, The Village Head in making decisions and following up on development in the Petapahan Jaya Village lacked coordination with other village officials so that many of the development processes in Petapahan Jaya Village were less effective and efficient
