Tinjauan Terhadap Pelaksanaan Pengawasan Disiplin Kerja Guru di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri Kota Pekanbaru

Discipline in the work environment is needed. Because employees with good work discipline will achieve a benefit that is useful both for the organization and employees. But not all employees who have discipline, because there are still teachers in work who lack discipline, it can be seen from the many teachers who do not work during working hours, resulting in the possibility that the burden of teaching or face-to-face is insufficient to be given to students so the teacher is less effective in maintaining his professionalism in teaching and indiscipline and there are still working hours violated by the teacher, but the delay is rarely followed up so that the teacher is still free to do so. The main problems, namely the implementation of the work discipline of Teachers in Pekanbaru City High Schools, and the supervision of the work discipline of Teachers in Pekanbaru City High Schools. This research is classified into observational research that is by means of a survey or direct observation to the research location using data collection tools, namely interviews and questionnaires. While its nature is descriptive, namely to provide a detailed, clear and systematic description of the main problems of the study. The results showed that the implementation of the work discipline of Teachers in Pekanbaru City High Schools was not yet optimal because there were still many teachers who did violations of the teaching and learning process such as teachers were less effective in maintaining their professionalism in teaching due to often asking permission and indiscipline seen from hours enter school which is still violated by the teacher, where it is known the teacher must have been at the School at 07.00 WIB, but there are still teachers who arrive late at 08.00 WIB, and supervision of the work discipline of Teachers in the Pekanbaru City High School is not yet optimal whereas supervision of school principals is an important factor in efforts to improve teacher work discipline, this is because principals are still not following up on teachers who commit violations such as being late in the learning and teaching process
