The Human Library is a place where real people are on loan to readers. It\u27s designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. Many libraries hold Human Library events, and Briar Cliff University has held a Human Library for the past six years. Because college students speak with real people about their unique lived experiences, the Human Library is an excellent opportunity for students to learn that authority is constructed and contextual in an authentic way.
