The current study examined the effects of anxiety and depressive symptoms on college students’ academic performance, as moderated by peer support. This research is important because it will expand our understanding of how to properly support college students who experience symptoms of mental health issues by encouraging peer support. An online survey was sent out to prospective participants and they were asked questions related to symptoms of anxiety and depression along with their perceptions of peer support. A correlational analysis and multiple regression moderation analysis were used to examine the relationship of mental health symptoms and peer support on college students’ academic performance.
