As pressure mounts to reduce costs for students, publishers are turning to online delivery models for content. As instructors, we are left to wonder if students are using the materials we ask them to purchase? And if not, what are they using instead? We are using an in-house survey along with course grade data to explore student resource use. We are interested in determining what resources students perceive as most helpful and if students’ resource use has any correlation with their success in chemistry. We hope our findings can help inform decisions instructors make when recommending resources to their students
